• Kinwegar Waste transfer station

    Solway Precast were awarded an order for our Solwall blocks to form a dividing walls at the Kinwegar waste transfer station. We have 3 sizes to allow the formation of a lock in the wall between each layer.

  • Waste transfer station

    Silo wall panels were supplied to form the back wall for the bays within a new waste transfer station. We also supplied A-Wall units for the dividing walls, these can be fixed down or movable to suit the stations requirements.

  • Sinclair Plant & Contracting – Alt Luaidhe Hydro

    We were awarded the Hydro scheme at Alt Luaidhe Hydro from Green Highland and their contractor Sinclair Plant & Contracting in June 2015 and delivered in April 2015.

  • Kirkton Fish pass, River Almond

    Solway Precast was awarded the manufacture of a sectional fish pass for the river Almond at Livingston. The units were a U-Channel with a sloping base to allow the client to fix a fish track to allow the fish to access above the weir.

  • Ocean terminal Greenock

    We were awarded the manufacture of stairs for the new development of Ocean terminal Greenock. There was a curved stair as part of the development, which had a large and smaller unit and 2 other normal flight stair as part of the project.

  • Bristol City, Ashton Gate stadium extension

    Solway Precast was awarded the contract to supply stairs for the new stadium development at Ashton gate. The stairs were large units and heavy with only 2 to a delivery load for site.

  • Outdoor terracing

    Solway Precast were awarded the project to supply raker beams, terrace and step units for the formation of an outdoor terracing at their campus training ground.

  • Supply of precast lift shafts

    Solway Precast have been awarded various projects to supply lift shafts for commercial and retail developments. These can be single shafts, double shafts of various sizes with a tested lid.

  • Morgan Sindall – Ruthven Bridge

    We were awarded the supply contract during June 2015 for the Ruthven bridge replacement by Morgan Sindall. This was an interesting project for us with many repetitive units and were manufactured during July for an August delivery to site. A time capsule was found when the old bridge was being demolished and had many items from the era which it was made including a bottle of local Whisky.

  • Burnside & Beach road, South Shields. Newcastle

    Solway Precast were awarded the manufacture of 4 cill units for rail bridges weighing around 30 tonnes for 2 bridge replacement within 500m of each other. The bridges were to be transported down the highway to the site for installation.

  • Harrow footbridge, Horden Station & Tulla Water

    Solway Precast have carried out various projects since 20017 – 2020 for Story contracting, these include bankseats for Harrow footbridge replacement, Platform walls for Horden station and L-Wall scour protection walls for Tulla bridge

  • Greenhills Retaining wall

    Solway Precast was awarded the manufacture of large L shaped wall units for a retaining wall. There was also cope manufactures to go on top of the wall units. The walls had a slanted top as the wall reduced in height as it followed the contour of the land.

  • Dalmakether Culvert Dumfriesshire – Blacklock Culvert New Cumnock

    Solway Precast was awarded the supply of culverts and headwall units for the supply to a culvert replacement at Dalmakether burn Moffatt and the Blacklock burn near New Cumnock.

  • Stobhill Hospital extension sign

    As part of the hospital extension Solway Precast was awarded the manufacture of a new entrance sign with a bespoke imprint on it.

  • MAJ 78 Bankseat Widnes

    Solway Precast were awarded to manufacture 2 Bank seats for a footbridge replacement scheme near Widnes.

  • Ringstones & BEJ38 Reservoir Roadbridge replacement

    We were awarded the project to supply the cill units for the bridge replacement at Reservoir road and embankment walls for the ringstones part of the project further up the line

  • St Olas pier refurbishment

    Solway Precast was awarded the project to manufacture precast pier capping beams which would fit over the pile caps to form the new edge on the pier.

  • OLE base Balloch Road Renton

    Solway Precast was awarded to make an OLE base for the railway line improvement on Balloch Road at Renton in Dumbartonshire

  • Balnagowan Road bridge at Garve in Inverness-shire

    Solway Precast were awarded the manufacture of 2 bridge cills and 4 ballast retention walls and 2 step units for the upgrade of an old rail bridge on Balnagowan Road at Garve near Inverness.

  • Ford Lane bridge replacement

    Solway Precast was awarded the manufacture of Bridge cill units for a bridge replacement project, there was 2 cill units and 2 impost units to support the cills and raise bridge to new height.

  • Carlisle Road Bridge, Bellside, North Lanarkshire

    Solway Precast was awarded the manufacture of two cill units for the rail bridge replacement, these were the two heaviest units we have made in Barrhill and transported to site.

  • Manton Road bridge, Rutland Leicestershire

    Solway Precast were awarded the manufacture of 2 cill units and 2 impost units which ranged from 36 tonnes to 46 tonnes.

  • Tarbet pier redevelopment, Isle of Harris

    Solway Precast was awarded the manufacture of Pier capping beams to sit on the pile caps to form the outer edge for the new pier for the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries to land at Tarbet.

  • New dairy unit with coarse grip slats

    Solway precast was awarded the supply of columns, beams, cubicle beds, coarse grip slats for the new dairy unit at Watson Farm Cumnock.

  • Silage pit construction using prestressed wall panels

    Solway Precast was awarded the supply for prestressed wall panels to form 2 x 225 feet x 75 feet x 12 feet silage clamps for the anaerobic digestor plants at Low Roucan farm development.

  • Sheep dipper

    We supplied the components from our modular sheep dipper to form a 7.5m long dipper for the upgrade of the farm sheep handling system.

  • Silage pit construction using freestanding L-Wall units

    Solway Precast supplied the L-Wall units to form this 27meter x 16meter x 3meter silage pit.

  • Shed construction of the central feed passage with Tibbers troughs

    Solway Precast supplied the Tibbers troughs to form the central feed passage for a new build cattle shed along with the prestressed wall panels.

  • Cattle shed with a modular tank, slats and wall panels

    We supplied the components to Duncan Martin to self build a modular tank for the slurry storage in the new cattle shed on his farm.

  • Replace the slurry tank top on a shed refurb project

    Solway were awarded to supply columns and beams and 16 Ft Mega slats to cover the tank on this beef cattle shed in Maybole.

  • Various farm sheds

    We have supplied Gregg Agri many prestressed wall panels for cattle sheds, general purpose sheds, silage pits over the past few years.

  • Self build modular tank, slats and wall panels

    We supplied Carskiey Estate with the items required to build 2 modular tanks for slurry storage on a new build shed to house the estate cattle.
