Solway Structural Steel’s fabrication factory is based in Dumfries & Galloway and operates from a 3.9 hectare site (9.7 acres).
This site has a fabrication floor area of 4416m2 and a heated paint shop of 1713m2. There are two main steel storage areas serviced by gantry cranes of 20 tonne and 10 tonne capacity. The production capacity of 2400 hours/week operates on a 2 shift basis enabling reduced lead times for our clients. We have two saw and drill lines, a plate processing machine, a plasma table and a drilling machine all N.C. operated. All our plater/welders are coded to BS EN 287-1 and SVQ level 3.
