Sustainability

The protection of the environment is central to Barr Environmental's operation.  The Company's Environmental Management System is accredited to ISO 14001 standard, and we work closely with environmental agencies such as SEPA to minimise the impact of our business on the environment.

An example of Barr Environmental's approach is the development of energy production a both our landfill sites.  These facilities not only produce a source of natural energy, but also prevent the release of methane and other ozone-harming gasses into the atmosphere.
